Declan shared his story of waking up after a night out with friends and beers, peeing bright red blood! He rushed to the emergency room at his nearest hospital in London, and the ensuing 5 days of this trauma.
His recent scan has gone well and he is in great shape, losing 18kg while on the journey of recovery. His videos continue nevertheless and have been picked up by several Cancer organisations, which have started sharing his story on their platforms too.
Declan is a positive and enthusiastic guy, with a no-nonsense attitude to work and getting things done. 6 months ago, after a week-long ordeal of trauma in hospital, he was delivered the news that he has kidney cancer. Alex and Declan are very good friends and have known each other for more than 30 years. This fun conversation, going back to High School days of skipping class, adventuring on our motorbikes, and watching Danny Boyles - 'Trainspotting' was a trip down memory lane too. Declan shares insights into his work ethic and team building skills, starting at the lowest position in a restaurant, cleaning tables at 15 years old. He has more than two decades of experience in the Food and Beverage industry in London, leading large teams in very busy and high paced industry.
